Fall Professional Learning Opportunities
We have added FLAVA workshops throughout the school year to serve the professional development needs of Virginia educators and those of members of our sister state organizations in Virginia's two regional organizations, the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (NECTFL) and the Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT). Each workshop provides one hour of credits toward license recertification. This year our registration process is a little different as we are opening our workshops to members of our sister states in Virginia's two regional organizations, the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (NECTFL) and the Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT). You must register individually for each session and then a day or two before the workshop, you will receive a Zoom link. All times are Eastern.

LGBTQIAP+ students’ lives have long been underrepresented or even absent from curriculum and classroom materials. Join 2015 FLANC Teacher of the Year, Rosalyn Rhodes, as she shares her personal and professional journey towards more inclusive practices in her workshop: LGBTQIAP+ Inclusion in Our World Language Classrooms and Curricula REGISTER HERE
